Thoroughly professional well taught course. Would happily recommend to a friend/colleague. |
This was a highly professional training course delivered by a vastly experienced and
knowledgeable instructor whose sole aim was to create equally professional motorcycle
instructors. I was very impressed throughout. Highly recommended.
Squadron Leader RAF |
Well established school with excellent instructors providing guided tuition through all stages of the course. Huge depth of knowledge and techniques passed on throughout the course.
All Admin sent out in plenty of time to complete the pre-reading.
Training materiel was logical and well presented.
Highly recommended. |
Lt Col Army: Excellent training.
A mix of old fashioned learning by Rout, followed by Meaningful learning. With only two trainees per course, the 10 days were active, constructive, and unquestionably provided me with long-lasting skills. I was fully engaged in the learning process throughout.
The programme was run by an ex-Army training specialist, who has effectively written the book on how to become a qualified motorcycle instructor.
I am absolutely confident that I would pass the DVSA instructor assessment. |
SSgt Army: Extremely good course, very professional and a pleasure to be around. Clearly evident that Phoenix are a cut above the rest in this sector. |
Ssgt Army: Great course and learning environment, an ideal mix of theory and practical lessons. Good confirmation of knowledge transfer and then the ability to relate understanding to real trainees during their own lessons. I am looking forward, with confidence, to applying the learning received at Phoenix during my DVSA motorcycle instructor assessment and thereafter to people wishing to learn to ride a motorcycle. |
'I was very impressed with all aspects of the running this course.. The dates were resceduled a
number of times due to Covid, but communication was always excellent. Pre-course work books
and information was extensive and arrived in plenty of time.
The practical elements of the course was very well delivered. I particularly enjoyed delivering the
training to live students. Instruction was excellent and the on-going support towards full qualication
shows that everyone at Phoenix is invested in their trainees': Lt Col army, June 21 |

I just want to say a massive thank you to Tony, Marcus and the team at Phoenix Motorcycle Training. I got in touch with Phoenix as I wanted to become a CBT & DAS Instructor. The course that they run in Amesbury not only gave me the skills but the confidence to pass both my instructor qualifications with the DVSA. Since passing those I have gone on to pass the BMF Advanced Blue Riband Instructor/Assessor qualification. I now feel I have the skills and above all the confidence to teach CBT, DAS and Advanced Rider Training thanks to Tony and the team at Phoenix and thoroughly recommend them.

Thanks to Tony and the team at Phoenix Motorcycle Training. I attended the Instructor Course in February and have just passed the DVSA CBT assessment at Cardington. Special thanks must go to Jason Sellars. The two days spent with you on the live CBTs most definitely helped. See you soon for DAS conversion!

Well I've just had an awesome ten days on the Phoenix Motorcycle Training Instructors course. Tony and Marcus are the most knowledgeable and patient instructors you can get! I'm now absolutely ready for my Cardington assessment and I'm also Fist Aid at work trained and a Blue Riband advanced rider. I can't recommend this course enough and the support after the course is second to none. Great instructors, great bikes, great course and a fantastic start to my motorcycle instructors journey. Carlsberg don't do motorcycle training but if they did, it would be Phoenix! Raising the standard!!
Passsed Cardington first time

Had a great week at Phoenix motorcycle training on the instructors course...learned sooooo much! AND met some great people! These instructors guys have got the knowledge! Just hope I can keep it all fresh in my head for the Cardington test. Thanks to every one up there, Tony Marcus, Jason and Stuart have taught me a lot. And thanks to the other guys with me on the course for making the whole thing a giggle! And just to add in a bonus...got my BMF advanced rider done as well...happy days. |
Motorcycle Instructor Course Feb 2016

Having passed my CBT instructors assessment at Cardington in April 2015, and having now passed my DAS instructors assessment today I would just like to thank Tony Marcus Dave and Alison at Phoenix Motorcycle Training for all the brilliant advise, training, lesson plans and time that they have given me. The way the instructors courses are run at Phoenix and the course syllabus, prepared me perfectly for both assessments. The Instructors course is extremely thorough and leaves you in no doubt as to what is required to pass first time. I highly recommend Phoenix for all motorcycle training.
Thanks again Ray Lewis. |
Firstly Happy New Year to you.
You may remember me, I attended your instructor course at Amesbury in October/November last year. You asked to be kept informed of my progress and I'm pleased to say I passed the DVSA CBT instructor assessment at Cardington today. I scored 4's in all the assessed areas, and as I I couldn't have scored any more highly, I firmly believe my success is entirely due to the quality of the Phoenix training I received. I can't thank you enough.
Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to all at Phoenix Training.

I arrived at Phoenix Motorcycle School in Amesbury for my CBT training on a rainy Monday morning. One thing I knew was that this would be a busy and exhausting week. It was just that and a bit more. Tony, his son Marcus and other instructors I met there were just superb! First few days were just learning, learning and learning. By Wednesday evening I was deflated. That was expected. I think it was Thursday when I started to teach real Students.
This was a great experience and guys from Phoenix are the Real Professionals. The teaching standards are set very high which meant I was well prepared for DAS assessment in Cardington just two weeks after finishing the course. When I arrived in Cardington I knew what to expect and how to react. Those 2 days in Cardingotn were very exhausting but I was sure that if I stick to my guns and remember what Tony and Marcus and others taught me I'd be fine....and I was! I have passed the assessment at my first attempt! Knowing that I have never taught before and I had just one week training and only 2 out of 5 people passed Cardington during my 2-day assessment, you can just wonder how good really those guys from Phoenix Amesbury are??
Thank you Tony, Marcus, Dave, Steve, Pete, Stuart and Alison! You are the Best.

Hi Tony, Alison,
I would just like to thank you for the course, as you pre warned me it was hard work and intensive. However I really enjoyed it, learned a lot and appreciate the time and effort Tony put in to get us somewhere near the standard he wants.
Phoenix should be congratulated for their high standards, business model and not forgetting the thousands of new bikers they have trained over the last 15 years with the knowledge to ensure they enjoy safer riding.
I have applied to take my instructor Assessment at Cardington and will keep you informed of the dates allocated.
I will keep in touch
Again thanks Paul |
Dear Tony/Alison,
Just to express my genuine appreciation for what I can only describe as an absolutely superb course and experience. I could write several paragraphs on just how much I enjoyed the course…but last week learnt to ‘say less and get on with it’ and hope my enthusiasm throughout the week made that clear. It’s not often my expectation are exceed these days.
So another huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to the course, admin, instructors and other students included!

Dear Alison& Tony,
I attended the instructors course that you ran from end of Oct - beginning of Nov 12 and I finally attended my Cardington assessment on the 30-31 Jan 13. I am happy to say that I passed first time. I have had no involvement with any CBT since attending your course. So, as you can imagine I feel quite proud of myself.
Although it was me who passed, it was very much down to the way the course was run and the professionalism of the instruction that I received. I took great interest in the standards of instruction from the other students at Cardington who had been "downtrained" for some time that had, obviously, not received the same standard of instruction I had.
With the Army still intent on destroying itself from within, redundancies are coming in thick and fast, so I might be contacting you around Jun 13 time to see if the franchise offer is still a possibility in the South Lincs/Leicestershire area.
Alison,
Although I did not get the pleasure of meeting you whilst I was on course can I say thanks for the ease of all the admin side of life which ran, as far as I could see, like clockwork.
Tony, Thanks for some excellent instruction, it obviously works. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent on the course.
All the best

Hello again Ali and Tony,
I just thought id let you know that i attended Cardinton on the 13th of September and passed my DAS assessment with a pretty good pass result...i amazed myself to be honest.
Id just like to thank you again for the training we recieved from Tony which without i know for a fact i wouldnt have passed either assessment, id also like to pass onto Tony how helpful Leigh has been to myself and Billy, fitting us in at short notice to help us prepare ( short notice due to our work commitments..olympics etc etc) A good man !!
I will be in contact soon hopefully in person to speak about where i go from here with this qualification, but overall thanks very much
Richie |
Hello Tony,
Just thought id pass onto you that
myself Bill Callister and Dave Rudman all attended Cardinton for our CBT assessments and all came away with
passes.(including virtually all straight 4's but the odd dodgy
2!!)
What i wanted to pass onto you was that there
were 3 other people taking the assessments with up to 3 years or more daily
knowledge of taking CBT's as their own particular profession. At no point
although we were a bit rusty, as it had been a few weeks since attending your
training course, did any of us feel that we were struggling compared to the
other candidates who were there with us. In fact at some points Billy and Dave,
felt that one of the candidates that they had been paired up with was of a much
inferior standard to them. and his knowledge and understanding of the
assessments was of a much lower standard.
What this boils down to is the
high standard of training which we were given by yourself whilst on your course,
which in our eyes shone through and made our lives a whole lot easier, and so we
would just like to thank you for that.
We have all now requested DAS
assessments at Cardinton and now just wait until they come through to us, we are
led to believe maybe up to 3 months. In between if i get any available time i
will ring Ali and liase with her if there is any scope for myself and/or Bill to
come and get an insight into the DAS assessment, before our dates come through,
as this would be appreciated.
In the meantime though, id just
like to say from all 3 of us, thank you
Richie. |
Tony,
Thankyou for a great week. Hard work at times and plenty of night
reading. The level of instruction from all of the instructors was
of the highest standard and by the end of the week we had achieved
the aim of the course. Please pass on my thanks to Ali, Stuart,
Steve and Leigh the proffessionalism of your staff and yourself
is second to none. and i would not hesitate to recommend you to
anybody interested in attending this course

Ali,
I'd just like to say thank you to yourself, Tony, Steve, Stuart
and Leigh for putting up with me over the last week or so on the
Instructors course, I found the course really enjoyable throughout,
the method of instruction was first class, well presented and the
overall aims were fully realised.
The course was really hard to start with but by day 4 things just
fell into place. It did take a lot of late night reading and mental
rehearsals but all the extra hard work was well worth it and I feel
after completing the course i am well educated and prepared for
the DSA Cardington Assessment.
Just a word of warning to any potential Motorcycle Instructors the
first few days, and nights, will probably make you think why the
hell am I putting myself through all this pressure, but stick with
it and it will all fall into place. I will definitely recommend
your services to anyone, and I will be back myself even if it’s
only for a brew and a chat!
Once again thank you all,
Mark

Dear
Alison, Tony and Steve,
I would just like to pass on my sincere gratitude to all at Phoenix
Training in Amesbury. Having just successfully completed my Instructors
course, Blue ribband and First Aid Training with the company, I
want to thank the whole team for their utter proffessionalism and
dedication. From the onset i wish to thank Alison for her outstanding
knowledge and constant communication in the run up to the course,
nothing was ever too much or there was never any query un answered,
a true asset to phoenix.
Thanks to Tony and Steve who were our Instructors for the whole
period, yet again their total dedication and ability to convey all
the information was second to none. Phoenix portrays and delivers
top training from doing the CBT's upto Advanced Blue ribband riding,
a company i would recommend to anyone what ever their ability !
Thanks again to you all, not only have i learnt alot the past 10
days but have made some new freinds along the way !
Keep safe and i hope to see you all soon.

"A
HUGE thanks to Steve and Tony at Amesbury for running a fantastic

Huge
thanks go out to Tony and Steve at Phoenix Motorcycle Training in
Amesbury for a brilliant course. It's been a lot of hard work, long
hours after a days training re-writing lesson plans to suit us as
individuals , but lots of fun in the sun, a lot of laughs and 'innuendo
bingo'
A really professional attitude from the bottom to the top and a
really rewarding course.
I've learned so much more about my riding, the learning to become
an instructor itself has improved my riding, making me more aware
of what I do and monitoring others, add to that with the road riding
you become so much more aware of dangers, hazards and obstacles
as you are not only looking out for yourself , but also looking
out and beyond your students safety bubble.
Thanks again guys, I've had a brilliant , if not exhausting time!

Hi Tony
Sorry this has taken a while, Iam now back in Dubai.
I know I thanked you on the Phone But once again Many thanks for
your help and Patience on the Instructors Course. It was very much
appreciated. I have given you the low down on the assessment so
won't bore you again just to say that the course and the information
that you and your guys gave us was just what was needed to get through
Cardington.
Once
again many thanks to you and all the guys.
